Dear God, My Friend just came home to you, her name is Ijeoma Theresa Onyiuke, we call her Ijay. She is beautiful & Elegant. I am sure you have seen her already. The queue into heaven's gate will be quite long because she left with 153 people at once. The Dana Air Crash! If I know her well, she will be busy helping others especially the children get into the gate. I hear the road is tough and narrow, Please Lord make it easy for them all to get to you. Ijeoma will love heaven, she loves beautiful things. U know her strife for perfection used to irritate me sometimes.....I which I knew! Heaven is perfect, so I know she will be okay...I can imagine her now going....Aaahh!, thats lovely!, Nice, Really nice. With that smile....she has such a great smile. As I write to you, I try not to cry. U wont like that will U? Where is that Faith that believes beyond the normal? You'd ask.....Hmmmmn, I can't find it right now, it hurts so bad, all I feel is emptiness and cold fear...Father, something is really wrong with our Land. I have so much to say to you, but the words are falling on each other, but at the risk of offending You, please tell me Father, Why?, Please Why? She prayed, didn't she? I know she likes to pray. I was sick last monday @ our office party and she held me close and prayed for me. You heard that prayer because I got healed, so what happened to the one she prayed for herself? What were You thinking when she was boarding that plane? Come Home Child, right? Why didnt she miss that flight? Maybe forget her purse? something? anything? Ok, am rambling....forgive me. Ijeoma used to tell me that when she enters a plane & they shut that door, she will smile & say..."For my sake, Lord, You will give us all journey Mercy"....She said it this time, didnt she? It's amazing because she was so sure that this year will be a great year for her. She said You will perfect everything that concerns her.....Is it this? She said that You that have started a great work in her will complete it......Its done now Yes? Very well then, Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful person to touch our lives in different ways. Though short, our memeories of her will live forever. But I will not pretend that am strong, am not. I am shocked and speechless. I still hear her voice praying for me. The text she sent me on Sat 8am is still with me. I can still hear Annie Odo-Effiong's sobs as she informs me that Ijeoma is gone. I need your help now. We are weak but You are strong, We look up to You now. The melody is gone, but You are still the song, Heal our Land Lord. Can You hear me? Am I getting through to You, Ijeoma is alright now with you, please make it alright for us here. We can't go on like this anymore. This is not how you planned it, I dont believe it. Your works are perfect. Nigeria is hurting, and we dont even see a glims of hope anywhere. We look to You our help, All of our help will come from You. Make eveything work together for our good, show us a sign, any sign, that You are with us in this. In one weekend, a country lost more than 200 people. Father remove evil from our midst, we have had eneough. We are Your people, called by Your name. Arise on our behalf, and show that You are our God. And this nation will Praise You, We will sing again. Help me tell the devil, too bad, Nigeria belongs to God! You aint getting it! Thank You father, for reading my letter. Say hi to Ijeoma & the rest of the departed for me. We love them and we miss them. But we do know that they are okay and that makes it okay for us here.
